Ramen Burger Recipe | Burger With Ramen Noodle

The Ramen Burger is a unique and inventive culinary creation that gained popularity in recent years. It was created by Keizo Shimamoto, a Japanese-American chef, in 2013. The concept of the Ramen Burger involves replacing traditional burger buns with two circular patties made from cooked ramen noodles.

The key feature of a Ramen Burger recipe is the noodle "buns." To create them, cooked ramen noodles are molded into circular shapes and then grilled or pan-fried until they become crispy on the outside while retaining a soft and slightly chewy interior.

Just like a traditional burger, a Ramen Burger typically includes a patty, lettuce, tomato, and other condiments. The patty can be made from various ingredients, such as beef, chicken, or even vegetarian alternatives.

A flavorful sauce is often a crucial component of a Ramen Burger. Common choices include teriyaki, sriracha mayo, or other Asian-inspired flavors to complement the noodle buns and the burger filling.

The Ramen Burger gained attention for its innovative fusion of Japanese and American culinary elements. It has since inspired other similar creations, such as sushi burgers and rice burger variations.

As the popularity of the Ramen Burger grew, many people started experimenting with making their own versions at home, customizing the fillings and sauces to suit their preferences.

Making a Ramen Burger at home can be a fun and delicious culinary experiment. Here's a Ramen Burger recipe to get you started:

Ingredients of Ramen Burger Recipe:

For the Ramen "Buns":
  • 2 packs of ramen noodles (any flavor)
  • 2 large eggs, beaten
  • Cooking spray or oil for frying
For the Burger Filling:
  • 1/2 pound ground beef (you can also use ground chicken, turkey, or a vegetarian patty)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Sliced cheese (optional)
  • Lettuce, tomato, and other burger toppings of your choice
  • Burger sauce (such as teriyaki sauce, sriracha mayo, or your favorite condiment)

Instructions of Making Ramen Burger:

1. Prepare the Ramen Buns:
  • First cook the ramen noodles as par instructions written on the package. Be careful not to overcook them; you want the noodles to be slightly firm. Drain and cool them down by rinsing with cold water.
  • In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked and drained ramen noodles with the beaten eggs. Toss the noodles until they are coated evenly with the beaten eggs.
  • Divide the ramen mixture into four equal portions. Use a circular mold or the bottom of a round bowl to shape each portion into a bun-like circle, pressing firmly to compact the noodles.
  • Lightly grease  a non-stick pan or griddle with cooking spray or a small amount of oil and heat over medium-high heat. Once hot, place each ramen bun on the pan and cook for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they become crispy and golden brown. Set aside.
2. Prepare the Burger Filling:
  • Season the ground meat of your choice with salt and pepper and form it into burger patties. Cook the patties in a separate pan or on a grill to your desired level of doneness.
  • Place a slice of cheese if using on top of each patty and allow it to melt.
3. Assemble the Ramen Burger:
  • Place one ramen bun on a plate.
  • Add the cooked burger patty (with or without cheese) on top of the ramen bun.
  • Layer with your choice of lettuce, tomato, and other burger toppings.
  • Drizzle your preferred sauce or condiment over the burger filling.
  • Place another ramen bun on top to complete the burger.
4. Serve and Enjoy:
  • Your homemade Ramen Burger is now ready to be served.
  • Feel free to customize your Ramen Burger by experimenting with different fillings, sauces, and toppings to suit your taste preferences. It's a creative dish, so don't hesitate to get inventive and make it your own.
